This is a lot of white hair silver needle tea for the money. It is probably the most famous Chinese white tea. The loose tea leaves are whole, needle-shaped and fragrant. I steep a teaspoon of this in a cup of 180F hot water for about 3 minutes. It is a light tea with a clear pale yellow color. It has a smooth, delicate flavor profile with a sweet floral note and a mellow aftertaste. There is no bitterness or astringency but only a mild sweetness. The aroma is fragrant and exquisite as well. This comes in a large, resealable Kraft foil bag. The loose tea leaves appear to be of good quality and smell fresh and tender. Mine has a best before date of just over 20 months from now. There is no mention of the country of origin on the packaging but the description implies this is from China. The Chinese tea name is Baihao Yinzhen, which translates to white hair white needle. This tea is known for its delicate, light, sweet floral taste. It is also known for its antioxidant properties and has many health benefits. Overall, I'm really pleased with this tea. It is certified organic. It tastes great and smells fragrantly. This is a good-quality tea and fresh. The price is very reasonable for a pound of this tea. Highly recommended.
